Viral Sales Emails.
There are many occasions when you want an email to be read by the contact you are trying to engage.
Even better would be if the email is intriguing enough to be shared.
If it’s shared, wouldn’t it mean more decision makers may take interest in your organisation, your product or service, or even YOU as a credible person to discuss and have a heart-to-heart?
Absolutely.
And just think, how many people may be involved in order to make a decision in one department, before they agree to discuss with another department.
If your email is good, it’s shareable.
Standard example:
Dear XXX,
I believe you are the person for ABC.
We are special because at ABC we do EFG. (You must be nuts if you don’t know us)
Are you available Tues 10am or Weds 3pm?
If I don’t hear anything by Thurs, I’ll call you to check you got my email.
Best wishes,
Standard Sales Emailer
Later on, I’ll write another article on Long Copy emails, as they get the best response, if done the right way.
But consider this, to be viral, get a typical organisation chart of your prospects or accounts you manage, and start writing down as many job titles you can.
Then, how it would interest them.
If you don’t know, go to your Finance Manager and ask them what says it’s a good deal if we paid £100k for a new software implementation, as an example?
Good question to ask?… Of course… you are in sales… aren’t you?
Because if Sarah in Marketing says: “Wow this works for me, how about you Kelly in Finance?”… You’ve got two future meetings waiting for you one day.
Now go back to your email, and just think how powerful your next re-write is going to be.
